Mulsanne Speed

Mulsanne is a small French town renowned the world over because, once a year, the celebrated Le Mans 24-hour racetrack, the Circuit de la Sarthe, passes through it. Since 2010, however, the name has become even more famous owing to one of the world’s most exclusive and refined motor cars, the Bentley Mulsanne.

If this model represents the jewel of the blazoned British constructor, then the Mulsanne Speed is its crowning glory.

The name ‘Speed’ derives from the fact that, of the three models produced by Bentley, this one is more sporty and possesses  6.75-litre twin turbo V8 engine, capable of producing 537 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque.

In practical terms, the Mulsanne Speed can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.9 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 305 kph. Not bad at all considering the 2,685 kg that the car weighs.

Performance aside, the main characteristics of this saloon car are its comfort and exclusiveness. It is entirely hand-made by expert craftsmen in the Crewe factory, and to put a Mulsanne together requires more than 400 hours of work, of which at least 150 are dedicated to creating the sumptuous leather interior.

The password is excellence, and this can be seen in the details – such as the stainless steel finishes, the veneers, the quilted leather and the contrast stitching, and much more besides.

And if the infinite combination of colours, leather, stitching and veneers should not suffice, more demanding clients can avail themselves of the Mulliner bespoke department, which can satisfy the most unusual and meticulous requests.

No compromises for the Mulsanne Speed, then. Whether driven by the owner or chauffeur, it guarantees the best possible experience to driver and passenger alike.
